Les unités d’épuration UTB sont l’option de base pour l’élimination des contaminants typiques du biogaz comme le sulfure d’hydrogène (H2S) et se caractérisent par une conception et un fonctionnement simples. Le biogaz est lavé avec une solution eau-NaOH. Pour atteindre un haut niveau de purification, on maintient mélangés ensemble la solution de lavage et le biogaz le plus longtemps possible : dans la première étape, à l’intérieur d’un jet Venturi et, dans la seconde étape à travers une couche de médias de remplissage qui est arrosé en continu par des injecteurs avec la solution de lavage. Le système est conçu comme unité packagée et la version standard est fournie équipée avec un tableau de commande électrique monté.
