East Coast Terminal Co., Peeples Industries Thursday, March 21 (8:00 am – Noon)

International Biomass Conference & Expo 2019: Industry Tour Event

The pellet terminal at East Coast Terminal, a subsidiary of Peeples industry is among the most important pieces of wood pellet export infrastructure on the entire eastern seaboard. This facility connects Georgia’s largest wood pellet manufacturers with the rail unloading and ship loading infrastructure it needs to get finished product to waiting biomass power facilities in Europe. Two storage domes give the facility 50,000 tons of dry, covered storage on site and the rail infrastructure can accommodate 80 car unit trains. Attendees joining the tour will have an opportunity to see how this state-of-the-art facility receives, stores and ultimately loads wood pellets onto waiting vessels.

Preconference Event: Biomass Preparation Handling & Storage

Monday, March 18

The Biomass Preparation, Handling & Storage Workshop agenda will allow producers to take an in-depth look at the latest innovations and strategies in biomass handling and compare it to their own. Whether producers are sourcing wood chips from a handful of trusted suppliers for a campus boiler or are a biorefinery working to gather, store and convert hundreds of thousands of tons of agricultural residues, this agenda will offer practical value. Read More

“The conference exceeded my expectations again! And I thought last year was going to be hard to beat. The quality and relevance of attendees this year was right in line with what I needed. I received several project leads and made connections with people who can get me into projects in the early stages. I met several people face to face that I had only known by phone. I’m definitely a fan!”
